I think a run on the banks could happen in the next two weeks. problem is the banks will be forced to take a “Holiday” by the feds to stop it. I hope I am wrong!

That’ll make things worse because if they freeze the banks and prevent people from buying groceries on their way home from work, etc. there would be hell to pay.

Panic will make it worse. Right now, of course, if everyone tried to cash out, there ain’t enough cash for that. The gov’t would have to crank up the printing presses.

I’m so upset that I bought a home under my budget, I have no credit card debt and I am being forced to subsidize greedy, stupid people who refuse to live within their means.

We learned to vote ourselves goodies from the public treasury. I think the historian, De Tocqville (sp?) had a quote about that.

Dianne Feinstein admits that 85% of her own constituents in California were against this bailout and she voted for it with a straight face anyway?!?

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage."
Thank You Bush, McCain, Congress, etc.
