Please point out the relevant text in the Constitution that supports your opinion.

Please point out the relevant portion of the Constitution that authorizes Congress to bailout private companies. There is a list of enumerated powers in Article 1, Section 8, but I don't see the power to bailout private companies listed there.

Maybe I'm not reading the right Constitution. Perhaps you were referring to the USSR's Constitution.

Pst. The Constitution is designed to actively limit the scope and abilities of the government. Claiming that I need to find a passage that says Congress CAN (as opposed to CANNOT) is a misrepresentation of the nature of the document. Buddy, I hate this bailout bill too (and both my crap Senators voted for it, thankfully my Rep did not and he will receive my vote this year) but there’s nothing unconstitutional about it.
