Dick Morris Slaps Down Alan Colmes for 'Spewing the Talking Points' About Palin Debate Performance
NewsBusters ^ | October 3, 2008 | P.J. Gladnick

Your humble correspondent, as diligent as ever, carefully checked out much of the post-debate analysis and spin last evening. Perhaps the highlight of all such activity, chock full of drama, was this heated exchange between Dick Morris and Alan Colmes on FOX News. The first part of this video shows Morris giving effusive praise of Sarah Palin's performance in last night's debate. The sparks begin to fly soon after the two-minute mark when Colmes cuts in to robotically attempt to run through his list of obvious talking points which Morris took great offense to (emphasis mine):

There’ve been a few times that I think I saw the non-scripted Colmes on H&C. That guy I like. That guy is someone I’d sit down and discuss things with.

Unfortunately, he’s become a talking head spouting talking points.

I think Colmes is bright and quick. He should tell the handlers and Dem arm-twisters to go to heck.

The difference is most of what sean says is actually TRUE, Colmes stretches it as all DEMS do.

DArn, I missed that. I didn’t realize my family and I had been uninstated! Goodness. But...that might explain a few things... ;)

Watching Morris and Colmes go at it is like watching a cockfight that you have no money down on.

Colmes acted like a dog who had just been caught crapping on the carpet after getting away with it for years.

His whine and unbelieving hangdog look that he was being called out like that were pure comedy.

Geez, Greta replayed that BOR/Barney Franks interview and O’Reilly was really going nuts on him. It got to the point where I couldn’t understand what either one was saying.

"Middle class is just a phrase to the democrats, they don’t know who those folks are."

Worse, they hate the middle class for their relative independence and their ability to make their own decisions amd generally run their own lives and support themselves. The same "middle-classness" that the Obama's church deplores on its web site is what American was basically founded upon, even though the term, itself, had not been invented. Leftwing democrats wish fervently for a third-world country composed of a largely Ivy-League elite and a mass of groveling, dependent, resentful, manulateable, ignorant, helpless people. They must destroy the middle class to achieve that end. And they will if they can. That's one big reason I fear an Obama presidency with majorities in the House and Senate and a Supreme Court with several justices just waiting to retire for a democrat to take over the WH.

I haven’t watched the tonight show since Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon. They bore me. Especially that idiot Dave Letterman. He could not function in the real world. He is a buffoon and I have no time for them. Life in his world is not reality. If you choose to waste an hour or an hour and a half, whatever it is, it’s your life. I would rather sleep.
