I have been talking to people about the Community Reinvestment Act a lot for the past couple of weeks. This is by far the best resource I have seen to educate people about it. I have it saved, and intend to use it liberally!

We need to put a real and lasting fear into our representatives. They need to understand that IF they support this atrocity, there will be repercussions. We will make it our sole goal in life to see them change careers.

Would that all Americans shared your 20/20 vision, and your passion!

Fear is a huge motivating factor in this problem. We can use it to our advantage. If we think for a moment that our legislators aren't in fear for one reason or another, we're fooling ourselves. The object is to cause them to fear us more than anything else.

I just called my Congressman's office and spoke to one of his very nice assistants. I spoke to her last week and had time to actually chat a little then. This time was DIFFERENT! In the few minutes I had her on the phone this time, she apologized THREE times and put me on hold in order to pick up other calls.

She told me that they're barely able to keep up with the call volume and that the overwhelming majority of callers are telling them

NO BAILOUT!

I'm going to guess that the scene is the same at every Representative's office right now. The U.S. House of Representatives website has been slow/unresponsive all morning as well.

If they don't shoot this BAD IDEA down, they will KNOW that they have violated the will of the American people, and things will NOT fare well with them afterwards!
