I had the PLEASURE tonight of writing Jim DeMint (My Senator) a hearty THANK YOU for the ONLY speech on the floor of the senate in this debate that made sense. He’s just one vote, but boy did he say it like it was. I hope we can find a transcript or a YouTube url for that speech. I don’t think I’ve ever been MORE PROUD of my representative. Thank you Jim DeMint!!!!

My Senators are Feinstein and Boxer. While I may get Feinstein to at least acknowledge me, Boxer is a hopeless case. She’s worse than Pelosi.

My Senators (Nelson and Hagel) have publicy backed the bailout. They seem fixed on voting for it. Hagel is an ass and a malcontent (out of office in a few months). Nelson (not up for election this year) is a weasel who is openly “glad-handing” Obama for a senior position.

Letter to my Congressman (Lee Terry, NE)

Dear Sir:

I don’t support this “bailout”. No matter how they try to rename it, dress it up, put lipstick on it, or add quasi-incentives/pork. I don’t support a bailout for investment firms or banks.

This whole 700 Billion dollar bailout was a self-inflicted wound!!! Greenspan, various deregulations, mismanagement, corruption, bad credit-risk management, pressuring the banks to “look the other way”, giving loans to those who had no business getting one, and off loading tons of easy cash should NOT BE REWARDED!!!

If I made a stupid choice, I should pay for it. I see no reason to bail out someone else’s stupidity/greed. To bail them out would only make things worse because nothing would had been learned. Adding to my anguish is that other’s will see the bailout and will come to DC asking for money as well.

When ENRON failed, we knew in a very short time who the bad guys were. In a matter of weeks/months, the culprits did the “perp-walk” and had to answer congress for their crimes. WHERE IS THE “PERP WALK” THIS TIME MR. TERRY????? Surely, such people as Franklin Reins, Senator Dodd, and Congressman Franks (to name a few) need to be investigated by the FBI. The last thing we need is for congress to investigate this...it would be like asking the fox to investigate the case of the missing chickens.

My fear is that this will all get swept under the rug.

I’m very POed Mr. Terry. The MSM is not doing their job, the Democrates are trying to pull a fast one over us and I fear more-and-more government intervention into my life.

TO REPEAT: I DO NOT SUPPORT ANY BAILOUT FOR THE BANKS OR INVESTMENT FIRMS. I WANT THE PERPS TO BE NAMED, INVESTIGATED AND PROSECUTED!!!
