What the heck is going on? Has Obama bought a tv channel? It looks to go on forever. It is flat scary, probably not long until he'll be on every channel 24/7, wasn't this something predicted in the book 1984? Who's paying for this? Someone who has Dish check and see if you're getting this feed. And see if you can find it on the Dish channels listing, I couldn't.

Time Warner has on the free play for view a Political channel that has Dim stuff and a token bit of Republican. You can watch the whole Democrat convention but the Republican convention is not to be found the last time I looked.

I have Dishnet too, and just checked on Channel 73. Yep, a program with almost FIVE HOURS remaining is on, called “Barack Obama’s Plan for America.”

I just checked, and sure enough, there it is: The Obama Channel, 73. Interesting, 73 is the channel that they set for TVs that get their feed via a dual tuner. So maybe they think that people who go to channel 73 will be more likely to see the Obama channel.

If Obama paid Dish for this, and offers the same deal to McCain, I don't have a problem. If they did not charge for it, then the FEC needs to pay a visit.

My cable system just added a new channel. There is nothing on it yet, but a new channel with the caption “Reserved” just popped up. I’m on CableOne.

I saw this too. It’s a loop of a 2 minute commercial. It makes me mad. I know it’s paid for legally, but there is just something wrong with a 24/7 channel to Barack.

For three days we couldn’t get ANY of our local channels, just ‘The Obama Show’. I know I should be frustrated with Dishnetwork, but I can’t help but seethe with anger now everytime I hear that man’s voice.

I’ve been too busy to fuss around with Dishnetwork support to get this resolved sooner but I did finally get around to it today to learn that when they added local channel 73 to my lineup, they also ‘deleted’ all of my other local channels that I’ve had for years (so conveniently, any attempt to change channels would bring me right back to... you guessed it - OBAMA!)

Thank God they were able to get this resolved. I have far more important things to be watching (Heroes anyone?!?). Seriously though, I’m writing an angry letter to dishnetwork as soon as I’m done with this - calling around to other service providers to price out their plans - then canceling this joke of a network.

For the record - support at Dishnetwork played dumb about the Obama channel - they acted as if this was the first time they were hearing of it. Unbelievable!
