Ifill's Book is no Secret
Washington Post ^ | October 1, 2008 | By Howard Kurtz

Posted on 10/01/2008 10:29:14 AM PDT by End Times Sentinel

In The Post interview, Ifill said that as the daughter of a minister who marched in civil rights demonstrations, she recognized the historic nature of Obama's candidacy. But, Ifill said, "I still don't know if he'll be a good president. I'm still capable of looking at his pros and cons in a political sense." She added: "No one's ever assumed a white reporter can't cover a white candidate."

Really? Then the libs would be okay with, say, Peggy Noonan taking Tom Brokaw's place in the next debate?

I’m sure they wouldn’t have any problem with Peggy Noonan taking his spot. She’s said some really nasty things about Sarah.

Peggy Noonan can take a flying leap.....

its not about the color of your skin...bamey is half white...its about your leftism...your bigotry...your political bent and the unbelievable assumption that taking all that into consideration, you could possibly be a fair debate host.....

The important thing here isn’t whether or not the debate questioner is on the side of Obama. He/She/It always will be, coming from the Leftwing Media.

The important thing is whether Palin and McCain correctly factor that in and actually use that fact in the debate.

I saw McCain recently tell Mika (or whatever her name is) that he knows she’s an Obama supporter, only to apologize for the remark at the end of the interview, thus nullifying the wonderful effect of making the remark in the first place.

In other words, it doesn’t matter if the fight referee is on the other guy’s side. The crowd will see it. But YOU have to see it too. And USE it.

Dagnabit! Grow a spine, McCain. Grow a freaking SPINE!

Playing the race card already?

Actually, white authors, if she wants to call them that, get criticized for writing books about politicians they cover.  For example, Ann Coulter is regularly trashed by Biden's army of Leftwingtards.

I'd say (just in case they read this) that Iifill is at least as corrupt as Ann eh?!

There is no evidence that the book will be favorable to the Democratic nominee. Ifill, the host of "Washington Week," told The Post she is focusing on Obama and three other up-and-coming politicians, such as Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick and Newark Mayor Cory Booker.

Surprise. Not a Republican among them.

"No evidence that the book will be favorable" to Obama? A book about super promising up-and-coming new black Democrat politicians? I have a bridge to sell you, Howie.

When the stock market crashed, Roosevelt wasn’t President and there was no television.

Wrong.

Joe Biden told me so.

"Ifill, who has worked for NBC News, the New York Times and The Washington Post, was widely viewed as doing a fair job as moderator of the 2004 debate between Vice President Cheney and John Edwards."

"Ifill, who has worked for NBC News, the New York Times and The Washington Post, was widely viewed by Democrats and liberals in the MSM as doing a fair job as moderator of the 2004 debate between Vice President Cheney and John Edwards."

There. Fixed it.

Bring in Walter Williams as the next debate moderator. Nah, bring in Pastor Rick Warren. Warren did such a great job on the first forum. He asked the questions, then sat back and listened. Same questions to both candidates. No antics. Very credible.

Last time I checked, Palin and Biden were white, Gwen. Or did Biden hit a tanning booth lately?

So then ,Gwennie, you won’t mind not moderating the debate so a white pro-Obama news shill can control the debate for Biden, would you?

The publisher's description of "The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama" on Amazon.com:

"In THE BREAKTHROUGH, veteran journalist Gwen Ifill surveys the American political landscape, shedding new light on the impact of Barack Obama’s stunning presidential campaign and introducing the emerging young African American politicians forging a bold new path to political power.

Ifill argues that the Black political structure formed during the Civil Rights movement is giving way to a generation of men and women who are the direct beneficiaries of the struggles of the 1960s."

It is scheduled to be released on Inauguration Day.

I wonder if she will have time after the election to add a chapter at the end about how "Obama's stunning presidential campaign" was defeated by racist white Americans who are still bitterly clinging to their guns and religion?
