$920 Billion More to Bail Out the World

AIM Column | By Cliff Kincaid | September 28, 2008

While the Global Poverty Act has started getting more serious attention, the implications of passage of the Jubilee Act have been generally ignored.

With one socialist “bailout” bill apparently on the way to passage by Congress, two more are pending―both of them sponsored by Senator Barack Obama.

talked to someone last night that said taking over defaulted homes would cost as little as 61 million. What happened to the 320 billion we spent earlier this year? did it all go to wall street. our government is holding a gun to our heads for more money and we dont know where it is going.

Perp walk and then tar and feather any $inator or Congre$$it that votes for these terrible bailout plans!

Here is another poll that the $inators/Congre$$its might want to consider before they get tarred and feathered:

Ongoing AT&T/Yahoo poll on the bailout:

http://js.polls.yahoo.com/quiz/quiziframe.php?poll_id=39543

Do you want the $700 billion bailout to be passed? Results
Q. Stunned by a House defeat on Monday, supportive lawmakers along with President Bush are again warning that if the proposed $700 billion bailout plan to buy bad mortgages and other “rotten” bank debts is not passed quickly, America — and the world — is vulnerable to a serious recession. Critics and protesters say the current plan does not include sufficient oversight, and taxpayers should not be put on the hook for the staggering price tag.

What do you think? Should the $700 billion bailout be approved?

Yes. It may not be a perfect plan, but we must take action. 23%

No. I think we need a plan, but this bill still needs work so taxpayers can be protected. 39%

No. I don’t think we need any plan. The markets can right themselves without our intervention. 36%

Not sure/No opinion 3%

This is sickening. I’m glad I don’t put faith in world leaders.

Luckily, North Korea has plenty of experience counterfeiting US currency. Before the “rescue plan” is over, we will need to enlist their aid to help us print the money needed.

Let’s see.

I don’t think congress is crazy enough to pass the Global Poverty Act.

The “Jubilee Act” cancels debt owed to us, while the bailout will buy bad debt owed by foreign companies. There is some kind of a pattern here. Apparently Obama sees the US taxpayer as a dumb guy with too much money.

For one example, do a little research on Hank Paulson’s total Goldman Sachs compensation prior to becoming Treasury Secretary. I think it is on the order of $500 million in the last decade.

And McCain is probably in favor of this bill too. After all...it is BI-PARTISAN!! What a wonderful choice we have in November. A Marxist, racist, America hating Manchurian Candidate and a moron who has had the winning path to the election thown in his lap time after time, yet is too stupid to seize it. (It would be too partisan, I guess.) I’m going to buy another Glock...while it’s still legal.
