N. Korea: Punggye-ri Nuclear Test Site Being Restored

Smoke detected at various locations around the nuclear test site

There are indications that N. Korea is restoring the nuclear test site at Punggye-ri, Kilju, where they conducted the test two years ago, prompting intelligence authorities to pay close watch on the development.

A government source said on Oct. 1, "We recently detected smoke coming out of various locations around Punggye-ri nuclear test site. We are closely monitoring to determine if N. Korea is trying to restore the test site."

He said, "Specifically, we suspect that the smoke we detected in the vicinity of the test sites was produced while they are trying to incinerate suits or equipments used for restoration operation. We are trying to ascertain if this movement has anything to do with restarting of Youngbyon nuclear facilities."

However, an expert at a government-sponsored think tank explained, "N. Korea had finished the restoration of tunnels after their last nuclear test. Stepped-up security around the site and other activities are suspected to be a ploy to raise 'nuclear tension level.'"

N. Korea dug a tunnel from east to west(?) inside a mountain at Punggye-ri, Kilju, and conducted the nuclear test on Oct. 9, 2006.

On Sept. 24, N. Korea notified International Atomic Energy Agency(IAEA) that they would restart reprocessing facility at Youngbyon nuclear complex within a week.

And we predicted this, didnt we, for the November to January time frame, more than likely the day after the election. It will be a Taepodong-II. Bastards never cease their antics, do they?

Christopher Hill from the Bush State Department rapidly headed to Pyongyang with his kneepads and tin of Altoids to greet the Dear Leader, Bill-Clinton style.

Talk about 완화 (kowtowing), and running straight up into the belly of the beast in order to get a last minute, lame duck, pre-election legacy deal.

We are in SUCH a weak position with that regime, it isn't even funny.

If this were happening under a Clinton or Obama administration, this thread would be 300 posts long, all tearing the White House a new one.

This is not going to help the world to be a peaceful place.

We are at a point, that one hot headed fool, acting alone, will do something and it will change the world’s history.

Add to that list of “hot headed fools”...........

Ahmadinejad, Hugo Chavez, Evo Morales, Vlad Putin. And as tired as I am this evening, I’m sure I’ve missed some.

Get some rest.

The list is pretty good, of course there are lots more of the communists who would like to see us taken down, China and Cuba and more.
