Morris: "McCain is losing the election this minute"
Fox News | 9/30/08

Posted on 09/30/2008 1:33:52 PM PDT by pabianice

Dick Morris on Fox: McCain is bungling the bail-out issue so badly that he has basically lost the election by "a lot; will be 12 points behind Obama next week." McCain "is giving this issue away to Obama" by being ineffective and not pinning it rightfully on Pelosi, ACORN, and the Dems.

Pro-Obama ads are running 3-1 vs. McCain ads. Obama videos/Yoytube are running ten to one against McCain. I can't understand how a brave warrior like McCain can be so blind and go down with no fight. HOW can McCain let the ACORN issue just slide away?

These folks are like Cub fans. They know that something bad is going to happen and they are willing to interpret any bit of bad news in order to confirm it.

There is alot of time between now and the election. ALOT can happen. At the margins, support for either candidate is very thin. A good week can sway things quite a bit.

Once this bailout thing is completed, people will focus on the real differences between these candidates. Right now, there is just too much noise to talk about ACORN, CRA, Barney Frank, etc.

The Hildebeast should be bailing McCain out now, by co-sponsoring a free-market plan with him in the Senate, if she wants to run in 2012. She’d do anything to win (including switching to the GOP, LOL).

Dick the toe sucker Morris.......hate” I doubt anyone cares enough about him to whip up some hate......amusement, disgust....perhaps. He is bill clinton’s flunkie.....and he is usually wrong......so if Dick thinks McCain is losing, that would be good news.

He's probably blown the election for good in the past week.
I wouldn't go that far. He could still turn it around.

But you have to WANT to turn it around, McCain. You have to WANT it.

Very well put. This is a Culture war Bush did not get it and McCain don’t get it.

The Left knows the Right is their enemy. The Right wants to be buddies with the Left.

Morris is a toad.

That said, the problem is simple: when McCain lists to the right, his numbers go up and his base is energized.

When he swings to the left, his numbers tank and his base gets rather melancholy. And distressed.

SOS

McCain is playing Senator. They bargain. They negotiate. They reach across the aisle. They give speeches. They vote on legislation and resolutions. That is why Senators/Congresspersons should not run for president.

Sanford / Jindal 2012!

You cannot just go out and start fighting. You don't shoot at a target, until the time is right.

But if conceding defeat makes you feel good, go right ahead.

He would have to turn his positions around and stop running in the wrong direction to turn his campaign around.
All I see is McCain picking up speed as he dashes for the edge of a cliff.

If Palin has to go forth in the debate and try to explain McCain's position on this bill, she's going to get slaughtered.

This concerns me too. McCain needs to come up with a better defined strategy to deal with the bailout issue, or Biden will use this as a club to pummel Palin with.

Really wondering about McCain. He is acting like a fool. I'm beginning to dislike him more but I think Obama will destroy America. Don't think he has the ability to reason with us Americans.

I think either Rudy or Mitt would have closed the election out Friday.
Absolutely.

Abso-freaking-lutely.

Without question.

Rudy or Mitt would be so far ahead right now Obummer would be rubbing his bum and wondering what just happened to him.

But now it's going to happen to us, all of us.

Because McCain's a freaking coward, a freaking chicken sht who won't stand up to the Liberal Dictators who run this country.

I am ashamed of him. A real war hero has become a real loser.

The problem is that, currently, McCain isn’t “battling” at all. He’s wandering around in the delusional world of the Senate where phony collegiality reigns among good friends across the aisle. His babbling about bipartisanship while the GOP is being ripped to shreds is simply incompetent and will lead to defeat.

There are many here who feel like the line in last Summer’s Dark Knight movie.

“Some people want to see the World Burn”

When Intelligent conservatives agree with the hit or miss Dick Morris, you know they wanted McCain to lose big in the first place.

Stay strong I am with you, McCain will win.

What would be classic is Sarah P to live up to the pitbull image and totally ambush Biden. When she is asked a question give it a cursory 30 second answer and then launch. “Senator Obama has some shaddy connections he needs to answer for Senator Biden and it's shameful an honorable guy like you would agree to be on a ticket with such demonstrably corrupt megalomaniac like Barrak Obama. he represented the same folks who got us in this mess, he took their money, he employed the chief actors in his campaign, shame on you Senator, shame.”
