The exact quote from the paper is:
“Elsewhere, belief in evolution is blamed for communism, Nazism and - under a large photograph of the World Trade Centre in flames - the 9/11 attacks.”
I assume that Oktar is using evolution as a synonym for religious materialism. And if that’s how he’s using it, I couldn’t agree more.
He goes on to say:
“Hitler and Mao were Darwinists,” Mr Oktar told journalists last month on a luxury boat trip arranged to answer questions about the atlas. “Darwinism is the only philosophy which values conflict.”
I would like to have seen the full quote from the interview, but I think I get the gist of what he’s trying to say: namely, that Darwinism gives justification to all materialist philosophies that value conflict.
The 9-11 terrorists were quite clear what their motivation was.
