What is most upsetting to me is watching his adoring crowds. These people are mesmerized and it reminded me of crowds in the Middle East chanting mindlessly at their leaders. I felt some of these people were on the verge of shouting “death to America” at any moment.

"Social chaos is the GOAL for the transformational Marxist. The crisis of crime and disorder is the door for the ... facilitator/change agent to enter the community and to initiate the paradigm shift! "He was a natural, the undisputed master of agitation, who could engage a room full of recruiting targets in a rapid-fire Socratic dialogue, nudging them to admit that they were not living up to their own standards. As with the panhandler, he could be aggressive and confrontational. With probing, sometimes personal questions, he would pinpoint the source of pain in their lives, tearing down their egos just enough before dangling a carrot of hope that they could make things better.
Ryan Liza, The New Republic about Obama.

WE CAN'T HAVE PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY ACTUALLY TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR BETTERING THEIR OWN LIVES--THAT WOULD BE COUNTERPRODUCTIVE TO THE GOAL - Sen. Barack Obama
