I would agree, but DrDeb says the ground game in OH is a shell of what it was in 2004 for Republicans. What gives?

Dr. Deb is right. McCain alienated the conservatives here earlier, was late getting started, and only after naming Palin did he get any excitement.

The vote here is either pro-Palin or anti-Obama. Very few people are hyped about McCain.

Moreover, in 04, the "ground game" mostly consisted of evangelicals and Reagan Republicans, neither of which has been courted by McCain's people.
