I think the mortgage crisis was caused by the fact people who have no health insurance were forced into court by the collection agencies and had to pay up, therefor leaving no money to pay the mortgage.....I would think if you could afford expensive health insurance, you would be able to make your mortgage payments so that would eliminate them and the rest are just waiting until something happens to them.

The causes for the mortgage/housing crisis are not complicated. Liberalized changes in Fannie/Freddie by the Clinton administration allowed government guarantees for high risk sub prime loans, the risky loans became epidemic. Attempts to fix this (regulate/oversee) were blocked by Democrats because they were afraid it would hurt poor people trying to buy homes.

Democrats in blocking these needed regulations are on record denying problems existed with Fannie/Freddie. This is a winning election issue for Republicans, they need to start explaining this as soon as the bailout is passed.

A Revolt should occur within the next week or so. The conservative party must act, as there will be no “next time”.

No problem.

The things Obama says and does...tells me he is still a radical Leftist/Marxist/Socialist...and a little "c" Communist.

The McCain campaign needs to harp on these associations non-stop.........

I won't hold my breath.....

They shouldn’t worry too much. McCain is inexplicably showing he won’t fight for the presidency. His spokesman was just on Fox saying that Congress failed to pass the bailout. He SHOULD have noted that the DEM CONGRESS could have passed the bill with zero Repub support but chose not to. McCain’s campaign staff seems comprised of not very bright but overly polite people.

I think Bush served up a softball for McCain and McCain refuses to swing! Go against Bush and ‘distance’ yourself from him! It’s a gift! Take it!

That was one terrific post! And you are so right-it is you and I, all of us, who now have to speak truth to power.

We need to get this done.

This interview is intended to be archived later today on http://www.culturecampaign.com

BTW, Sandy Rios and presumably WYLL-AM are getting heat from the Obama Commissars. (And, they’re in Chicagoland, to boot.)

Feel free to suggest defensive moves.

Pray as if it is all up to God.

Work as if it is all up to you.

Thank you unspun!

In the first hour of the Sandy Rios show that aired today, I heard a statement that stunned me, and cleared a lot up as well. The host said that before yesterday’s vote, the Democrat leadership told their Representatives that they did NOT have to vote for it, even though, they had spent days grandstanding it. They wanted the Republicans to carry the bill into passage, because it was so unpopular, AND to use it against the Republicans in the weeks before the election.

I sometimes think I live online, but I had never heard that one! If it is true, it explains why in the world the Democrat leadership was in such a rush to support a bill advanced by President bush, who they always fight every step of the way!

The duplicitous nature of these guys never ceases to amaze me, and after 6 yrs. here, I have seen a lot, shakes head.
