Just what I was thinking. The House defeated a bill that was deeply unpopular with the citizenry. How does that help Obama?

It is still up in the air where and what the political fallout will be due to the market diving.

Both Obama/McCain sort of were in favor of this bill. If Repubs can mount a good offensive surge it might save them. The dems will be blaming everything on the repubs, from diaper rash to the reason why human beings die.
