Well that means that 2/3rds of the GOP voted against it as opposed to only a little over 1/3 of the Dems. That argument appears ludicrous on it’s face.
Yes, but Pelosi didn't need the GOP to pass this bill. And if she had gotten the DEMs to vote 95% for the bailout, added to the GOP voting for it would have produced a veto-proof margin (not that a veto was in question here).
