I agree that it’s very complicated. This thread is about as interested in the issue as I get. I also agree that we shouldn’t redefine marriage.

There are times I wish I could say that. At the same time we have young boys so we're left with no choice but to get involved.

Well, good luck with that. If I had young children, I’d probably be more worried about becoming a grandparent though.

If it’s legal, will that make heteros turn homo?

Sexuality isn't set at birth, as the leftist propagandists would have everyone believe. Much, but not all, sexuality is conditioning in early developmental years. Same-sex "marriage" recogized and endorsed by government is the ultimate legitimizer of a lifestyle. Don't you think children, who may be confused and already on the fence, might be pushed over the edge by this?

I’ve never studied this issue, so I really don’t know.

It's not the voters you'll have to worry about. Every state that have let people vote on the issue have rejected perverted marriage. trouble is, the state supreme courts/ feds USSC, are stuffed and flush with liberal activist judges who will strike down as “unconstitutional” the will of the people.

Without Constitutional amendment we will have perverted marriage (and all that comes with it) forced upon society via judicial fiat.

I look forward to being a grandparent... I think. Still, that won't be for at least another 10 years. My first priority is my kids and that's a long list of priorities.

Good for you. I was talking about becoming a grandparent accidently, not the normal way through marriage.

Indeed, I inferred that and had to smile when I read your comment. Since our boys are home schooled, thinkers and devout Christians who put other people first, we're not too worried about it.

What we don't want for them is to learn about homosexuality until they're at an appropriate age. Unfortunately, some do what they can to desensitize today's youth so they're more open to, um, experimentation. The New Gay Teenager.

Thankfully, I don’t have that problem. Good luck.
