And it won't just be a vote for her fiscal conservatism, executive experience, reformer's track record, and family values, but to put the final nail in the coffin of the toxic feminism and abortion-on-demand fanaticism that has plagued our country for the last half century.

Excellent observation!

Her views on abortion don’t matter to me because she’s going to be the VP and her opinions won’t really enter into matters.

What makes me nervous about her is she does not seem prepared to do the job of Vice President, let alone President. I don’t believe she has enough executive experience and she definitely does not have the foreign policy or economic smarts required of someone who will be one heartbeat away from the Presidency. I was disappointed in McCain’s choice, I really was. I would much rather have seen Mitt Romney on the ticket.

Also, while I support working moms, I think the mother of a pregnant teenage daughter and a learning disabled infant belongs with her family. They need her more than we do.

let’s put it this way. Sarah Palin is the stealth pick. Everyone thought McCain would pick Pawlenty or Romney until the last minute.

she knows a lot more than what she lets on.

Harry Truman had ZERO executive experience (other than being a failed businessman) before he became VP. He was VP for a couple months and was totally in the dark before he became president. Truman is generally considered to be either the best or second best president of the 20th Century.

“...she knows a lot more than what she lets on.”

She also knows more than Obambi and Biden do (put together).

“But”?

That's the first thing I noticed as well. Seems like we need an "And" here.

“...”...it may turn out,” Emery continues, “that the main contribution [Palin] makes to [McCain’s] effort is in goading the Democrats into spasms of self-defeating and entirely lunatic rage. Somehow, every element of her life - the dual offense of being a beauty-queen and hunter; the Down syndrome baby who wasn’t aborted; the teenage daughter about to get married, whose baby also wasn’t aborted; the non-metrosexual husband working the nightshift; the very fact of five children - touched a nerve on the liberal template, and sent the whole beast into convulsions...”

A MUST READ.

WOW....just....WOW...I am speechless (no mean feat there...)
Thank you for posting!!! Smacked it right out of the park...Liberals are most assuredly deranged, and when something comes to the forefront that exposes the flimsy nature of their “worldview” - they blow whatever gaskets they have left.

And THAT makes them all the more dangerous and NEVER to be trusted with the reins of power.

Kind of a high DUH factor. The issue for us conservatives is how to get them to bring it into the open.

"What makes me nervous about her is she does not seem prepared to do the job of Vice President, let alone President."

The only "required" job for VP is to give the deciding vote in the Senate in case of a tie. Anything else is what you want to make of the job or are delegated by the President. Sarah Palin seems to be accepted warmly by foreign dignitaries. She could be our greatest ambassador if McCain wants to unleash her on the world. By the time she gets back, she will have more "foreign policy experience" than 1000 Obamas.

Somebody should post the cartoon of Obummer in the dumpster behind the abortion clinic wielding a club, making sure there are no survivors.

Her views on abortion don’t matter to me because she’s going to be the VP and her opinions won’t really enter into matters.

So, you think her "opinions" are unimportant, but believe her "experience" is?

Reading through your other posts, it seems that you are far more of a libertarian than a conservative, so it's hardly surprising that you would be turned off by a genuine conservative on the ticket.

She is also the ONLY candidate among the four that actually has executive experience, and while you’re correct that Truman was one of the best, Palin’s experience is a close match with that of another good one, Teddy Roosevelt.
