According to Fox just now the package is defeated as it stands now, but she said the vote will remain open until both sides decide that they can’t twist any more arms to get them to change their votes. I’ll bet the vote stands!!
Whoo Hoo!!!

In other news, the Ohio SC just upheld a same-day voter registration put into place by our new Sec of State, Jennifer Brunner. She is completely messing up Ohio voting laws. This may actually be a case where Ohio IS stolen for Obama.

“It hasnt passed yet, it hasnt closed. I want to know what the solution is then! If this bill does not pass ever, what will happen????”
In my opinion, the market will have some ups and downs but so be it. The Republicans should be able to bring out a bill to cut Capital Gains and all will be just fine in no time.
Best news ever is that the DEMS lost this one, and now the Republicans and wise Democrats who voted against it can tell the reasons why! The bill was terrible in every way!
To: seekthetruth
I don't get how long they can let this vote be open.
It is now 207 Yea, 226 Nay
Someone already changed their vote.
Are there that many (19) people being smoozed?
That wine you mentioned sounds great.

It hasnt passed yet, it hasnt closed. I want to know what the solution is then! If this bill does not pass ever, what will happen???? i don't think anyone knows - lots of opinions out there
it might just be that all our attempts to avoid pain by manipulating markets will cause us to go through a bad time - it might be that passing this bill would delay it - but there is no guarantee
it might be that passing this bill would delay the bad times but make the inevitable worse - i don't think anyone knows

Good time to buy.
Amen! A multitude of smart investors looking to buy low make it very rare for the market to do something stupid en masse (such as valuing ATML at $0.75 / share after the 2000 tech bubble burst).
