I understand what you are saying, unfortunately I don't share your optomistic outlook. It was a very different world and US when Reagan brought us back from Carter's debacle and the rot of 50 years of democrat rule.

Events are moving much more quickly now and the consequences are more complex and deadly. The demographics since Reagan won have shifted dramatically. That was before there were 50 Million from 3rd world countries here now sucking on the governement teat. These people by and large are not going to stand up and fight socialism, they are largely the receipients of the wealth transfer.

Back then you also didn't have far left billionaires like Soros, Peter Lewis and several others, manipulating the financial markets in order to bring about a collapse of capitalism in order to usher in socialism and far left control of the powers of finance, government and media.

Not to mention the now full control the left has had unfettered of our schools for two gernerations of brainwashing of leftist dogma along with all of our other major institutions.

Am I being pessimistic? You bet I am, but that doesn't mean I'm giving up. I'm just trying to point out that we shouldn't delude ourselves into thinking that it's OK if Obama wins, we'll let him fail and pick up the pieces. It's not going to be that easy. With socialists in control of the WH, Congress, Senate and the courts it will be a long, long, long road back and may not happen in our lifetimes.

People were saying the same thing in 1993. Hillarycare was a done deal. The Permanent Campaign would mean Democratic dominance forever. We need to be optimistic and fight the battles we can win. An Obama Presidency does not have to be the end of America as we know it.
