House GOP Fights to Remove ACORN Slush Fund from Economic Rescue Bill; Poison-Pill Proposal Would Ask Taxpayers to Bankroll Group Accused of Voter Fraud Nationwide
Washington, Sep 27 - House Republicans have made clear that they will fight for an economic rescue package that protects the interests of families, seniors, small businesses, and all taxpayers. And as discussions continue in order to forge an agreement that reflects these principles, the American people are taking note of a left-wing giveaway Democrats are pushing to force taxpayers to bankroll a slush fund for a discredited ally of the Democratic Party. At issue is the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now better known as ACORN an organization fraught with controversy for, among other scandals, its fraudulent voter registration activities on behalf of Democratic candidates. Here are just some examples of ACORNs most recent scandals and unlawful activities:

Stumble it or add it whatever social network you are on. Get the word out.
I can’t even begin to express my disgust with the Dems who are pushing to include ACORN and other pork in a bill at a time of a serious financial crisis. Let the whole house of cards come tumbling down. We’re Americans; we’ll get back up, dust ourselves off, and move forward. But screw this plan that mainly goes to help the allies of the Dhimmicrats.
One of their main targets is ACORN. They're aware of the problem and are working hard on exposing it.
Cavuto on Fox just now said there’s also proposals to put trade union reps on the oversight board for exec pay etc. Also said it’s getting messy, Schumer has invited himself and is PO’d at the lack of progress.
What’s so hard about just producing a clean bill for the job at hand and addressing the fringe details later. What a useless bunch.
There is a union set aside in this bill, as well. The unions, led by groups like, “Change to Win” (obviously an election campaign group), have demanded pension loss guarantees from the bail-out returns.
Ugh. This is what I was afraid of when I heard they were going to mess with exec pay.
They need to pass this bill...and FAST.
How can an outfit like ACORN be scandal-tarnished when they have no shame in the first place?
Yes...pass the 700B...and that's ALL!
What is the matter with Corker and Judd who sat and negotiated with the Dems all weekend and didn’t get this garbage taken out of the plan? If the Democrats think more of ACORN and LaRaza than they do of bailing out the banks, this should be brought up in every Republican interview.
And it will; if they know about it.
Hey Boehner! NAME IT TO THE PRESS and TELL about the VOTE FRAUD ARRESTS!!! COME ONE!! No One except us knows how CORRUPT ACORN REALLY IS!!! TELL THE PEOPLE!
That's the whole problem, the Dems wanted to pass this bill fast so that no one would notice their corruption & payoffs to organizations like ACORN that were included in the original bill. Thanks to God, the House GOP found their backbone and are standing up to the corruption of the Dems.
At this point, I'm OK with no bailout. It's time for America to wake up.
