You know, it really is not hyperbole to compare this to Hitler Youth. Every day that goes by, I am more and more convinced that Obama is a true fascist and his followers no better than rank and file Nazis (except without the respect for military tradition, or the respect for national culture...ok, I guess they are worse than Nazis).
Seriously though, this man is truly terrifying. The more people like us try to point out Obama’s fascist tendencies and the almost religious devotion that his followers have, the more the “moderate” liberals and the MSM deride us. To their peril. The fact that we have had spirited, often strident, debates about McCain’s qualities and faults is a sign of our strength.
There is absolutely no dissent tolerated in the Obama camp—look at Kos and DU (if you can stomach it). There is no opposition to anything Obama says or does; at best, they wish he used even more ruthless fascist tactics. Between now and November 4, it is our duty to let all those we know that this is not merely another election, that Obama is not just a tax-and-spend liberal, but that—like Hitler—he is attempting to use democracy to destroy it.

Tonight i was thinking about a good friend of mine. He is 30; a computer whiz kid who not but a few years ago was a budding entrepeneur. Now he has a very small business out of his house. He is completely taken up with Obama.
We absolutely decided a couple years ago never again to have a discussion about politics, because our friendship almost ended. He was raised by a single mom who worked hard and raised a good son, but had to take food stamps on occassion.
And so tonight I thought about how would have viewed the debate. And of course he would have loved Obama, and reconfirmed his views of McCain. It suddenly occurred to me that I could say nothing to him because of the “generation” gap. But I don’t mean the “age “ gap, though there is some.
He was never raised under the post WWII or cold War era. He has never really been taught about history —either European or International—in government schools. Nor about basic enconomics. Nor, unlike my family, politics and history was never talked about as he was growing up.
How could he POSSIBLY understand how scairy Obama’s fascism and ignorance is? And THAT I think is the problem to overcome for McCain.

We need to shut down all K-12 government indoctrination camps. ( A property tax revolt would do it.)
As for the colleges and universities:
Most kids don’t need college. They need training. Charles Murray has a great idea. Technical schools, private certification exams and boards would be more than adequate for most of the work done in the U.S.

Also for the few colleges and universities that would remain...It is **long** past time that alumni of colleges and universities stopped writing donations, and/ or attached great big conservative strings to any money the colleges do get. I remember reading that one wealth donor agreed to a large donation provided that the college assigned “Atlas Shrugged” as required reading for all students.

I’d be tempted to agree wholeheartedly with you in the absurdity of how some folks are reacting if it were not for a few glaring facts:
1. Obama thugs attempting to get a Chicago Talk radio program shut down because the host interviewed an author critical of Obama.
2. The Democrats in Congress speaking about a reintroduction of the Fariness Doctrine.
3. The signs that have been banned on public ground at an Obama rally in Virginia today.
4. What Obama is attempting in St. Louis, MO (use of law enforcement to shut down free speech that the Obama camp calls lies). This has the Governor publishing statements and looking into Civil Right’s violations.
5. Obama himself telling his throngs in Nevada to get in people’s faces, argue with them, harass them etc...
6. Obama’s lawyers threatening the NRA with legal action for an ad they have running about Obama’s views on the 2nd Amendment.
And I’ve no doubt the list goes on; not to mention the massive voter fraud that is happening in one of Obama’s pet organizations, ACORN. A corrupt vile blight on the American public that the Democrat majority in Congress wish to fund in their socialist bailout of Wall Street.
The fears expressed in this thread aren’t too far off tract. The left wails about civil rights violations with wire tapping, but no one that I have heard of has ever had their rights violated. But Obama’s goon squads are in fact acting.

All who believe in God, who believe in the power of prayer, need to be truly dedicating themselves to pray - along with all else that we are called upon to do.
I am not sure I am ready. I am not sure most of this country is ready for what is coming. But with God, we will be able - to endure and to triumph - eventually as you say - eventually = our God will triumph over all and put all HIS ENEMIES under the feet of our coming King of Kings, Jesus Christ.
