Well done piece.

But Obama will win and we will become the worst of China, the old USSR and Mexico combined.

I would say the America is entering the New Dark Age. I fear for my children.

This is an excellent vanity. The need is to get it to a larger audience through making it an article and getting it published in a wide print distribution medium.

We may very well be the generation that has to tell our grandchildren there used to be a place called America where men once were free.

Whatever, at the very minimum, in view of what is coming, do not give up the items we are protected and ensured to be able to freely own, by our beloved US Constitution, in it's wise Second Ammendment. It is the final line of defense from tyranny. If elitist, holier-than-thou tyrants take power, that will be one of the first things for them to go after, mark my word. History is replete with examples.

I agree with most of what you say. But neither Obama or McCain are going to fight off the bailout fraud, to my knowledge.

The one thing that you missed in your piece was the role of the brainwashing of our grandparents' children, our parents' children, our children, and our children's children through the role of institutionalized, relativistic education (as developed by John Dewey, et al). This "education" has altered their way of thinking to promote a belief in no absolutes, a belief in government as the solution, and a belief in no responsibility.

The point is that this brainwashing is the underlying cause that provides the viability for this current unbelievable scenario of a Barry Hussein Øbama likely being the next President of the United States.

The other point is that a defeat of Øbama will not fix anything. The underlying society that created Øbama has got to be fixed...otherwise, we'll just have another Øbama next cycle and the cycle after that (until the socialist revolution is complete and they just forget about elections).

November is shaping up to be America’s last election. Certainly won’t be any need to hold them anymore after we become a socialist nirvana led by the chosen one: Robert Mugabe. Oops, I mean Barack Obama.

We may very well be the generation that has to tell our grandchildren there used to be a place called America where men once were free.

I had that exact thought the other day.

We may be the generation who take the little ones on our knee and tell them about the "good old days" when food was plentiful, technology was progressive, gasoline was affordable, and anyone who wanted to could buy land and have his own house.

They will shake their little heads in disbelief when we remember free elections and a sense of optimism and hope that permeated our lives and society as a whole, and that the USA was a sovereign and proud nation populated with those who loved liberty and freedom and were prepared to fight for those concepts.

I look at my 2 year-old and fear for her safety and well being as a teen and adult. The lawbreaking thugs are procreating at a massive rate and our streets will be filled with teens and young adults with zero respect for life and zero mercy for those weaker than they. I wonder what kind of nation, if any, she will raise my grandkids in.

We are screwed I’m afraid. I’m glad I have not had children to have to tell them about the good old days.

I guess there is an advantage to being old -

I heard this pap before - USA headed into the crapper, etc

In the 60s, it was because the war in Vietnam would destroy us

in the 70s, energy was to be our tombstone (Mad Max anyone?)

In the 80s it WAS close thanks to Lil' Jimmy C, but we survived

The 90s -- it was the 90s stock bubbles and all.....

I had occasion to give a ride last night to a younger (late 20ish) man. He need to pick up his beater from the garage - it had just been brought back to life - again.

Right now he is unemployed, but still looking hard, and I'm sure he will find work - its coming on to winter and in Alaska, work is a bit thin this time of year.

This young man is why I, anyway, am certain the US will do fine in the future. A Marine, he was discharged with an 80% disability (one to many close calls with IEDs if I understand correctly) but he is an American.

Forged in the heat and hell of combat (two tours in Iraq) he is of unique material - a strange material of heart and soul -- stronger than carbon tool steel, tougher than armored plate, I can sense the quiet fire burning within him.

These warriors, like the Samurai of old, will be the backbone that carries this Nation forward - thru good times and bad. Why? I guess it's because they won't back down.

I'm a vet myself, and happy to help where I can - for I know the future depends so much on men (and women) like this young man.

It may be sappy - but I can sleep at night because I know this kid, and million more just like him, have got our back here and abroad.

So ya, times may be hard or may get to be hard - but just remember - we have a lot of hard men who can handle it.

/rant

No flames from this quarter. Only a minor clarification that the main architect of the US Federal Reserve was Max Warburg who put together the European Central Bank.

The Creature from Jekyll Island just will not go away.
