SJReidhead over at the Pink Flamingo notes why Sarah Palin came off so incoherent in those CBS News interviews with Katie Colic - Palin’s responses where edited to make her appear to stumble:

(5:39) Couric: But what lessons do you think you have learned as you’ve watched this unfold in terms of implementing the democracy and the challenges inherent in that goal?
Palin: Well, one is that America cannot be counted on to do this solely, to be the savior of every other nation, but we need friends and we need allies and we need this nation-building effort and we need to forge new alliances, and that is what a new election will provide opportunity to do.
And dolts like Kathleen Parker from NRO fell for the deception. Americans need to demand CBS offer the ENTIRE unedited interview on their website - now. We can then decide for ourselves what was important to hear from Sarah Palin.

Why would anyone trust CBS? These people have a lot to answer for.
I hope the campaign sees this video, the McCain team should demand an apology and use the same style advertisement.
We have the entire mainstream media that has been proven over & over to be untrustworthy - downright deceitful. They have been caught lying on several occasions.
CBS’ #1 man Dan Rather caught trying to pass off forged documents in his obvious agenda against Bush in 2004.

We as a people need to demand honesty from the media, not bias opinions and reporting to further their personal agendas.

The liberal media outlets like ABC and CBS won’t give conservatives or Republicans a fair shake. I don’t see cuts being aired from the Hannity interview of Gov Palin. That would be fair and balanced. We can’t have that.
That is life in American politics, however. The McCain campaign should just let Palin loose. Let the cards fall where they may.
Why oh why does the campaign put Palin in these lion’s dens? Is it better to have the MSM gripe about her not doing any interviews, or to have to defend the propaganda-edits which appear everywhere. IT would have been better if they had NEVER had her do a single interview. Surely they must know that the left has to destroy her or Obama will lose.
You mean like giving Barry Obama--the poster child of the subprime disaster--a total pass on his Fannie and Goldman Sachs cash, his lawsuits against Citibank in Chicago to force them to make subprime loans, his links to ACORN and the pork he and Dems tried to put in the Paulson bill.
He had a chance to destroy Obama and link him with this economic fiasco. He utterly failed, and therefore lost the debate.

After the Gibson fiasco there was a columnist who suggested politicans need to bring their own camera to these interviews so they can rebut this kind of thing, and also keep the interviewing staff honest.
She has been "shaped" by these two interviews with Gibson and Couric. The editing and badgering was intentional and has had it's impact.
Once people see her in the debate, however, she will be unedited and uninterrupted. She will do a great job and everyone will be blown away.
It will also reveal how edited the interviews were, casting more doubt on the 'unbiased' media.

What we who have Internet access need to do is print these purposed lies on hand-out sheets for freinds and relatives, and send out links to sites like this one, to our relatives and friends, with invitations to see the truth about the pernicious nature of liberalism and sycophantic media.
If they're as closed minded as you, it will have no effect, but if they are true moderates and undecided in this coming election, seeing the relentless campaign of liberals lying for Obama, repeatedly, will eventually accrue to the empty suit candidate CBS and mainstream media are working to elect using lies and purposed deception.
Lying to people only works where magic thinking and comfy blindness are used to escape the truth. Obama revealed how complete is his pathology with his ardent protection (on four legislative occasions) for abortion by neglect of purposely delivered-prematurely children left to die unattended, alone in abortuaries.

Palin needs turned loose on talk radio and maybe a few of the morning news shows and then just let her be herself. She will get a lot of practice with these interviews and a much larger and more supportive audience will get to hear her.
