I suspect you are right. But we live in a time and place where the most insipid, meaningless, talentscout shows "American Idol," "Dancing with the Stars", are also the biggest most-watched hits in years. I'm not optimistic about the judgment of the American people.
LOL. The voice from behind the curtain speaks again.
So, what we get are polls based on nightowls at a friend's house partying it up.
And those folks are, of course, "for Obama" for a variety of reasons that have nothing to do with Obama or politics.
We weren't called but we have potato chip leavings all over the place ~ definitely a carbohydrate drenched evening Fur Shur.
This is utterly ridiculous! They interview a whole 524 "adults", not registered voters or even likely voters, then gin up the number of rats to get the man child to 51%. I've never seen anything this biased in my life!Utterly ridiculous... but par for the course.
The media is completely in the tank for Obama.
We've known for a long time that we can't win elections by a narrow margin anymore. We have to win big or we lose by voter fraud.
Same goes for debates. McCain has to score a knockout blow or lose by media bias.
McCain did not score a knockout blow, though he did do well. He let Obama off the hook for his connections to ACORN, Fannie and Freddie, and the current financial crisis.
By that measure alone, McCain did "lose" this debate.
I thought Obama spoke well and in beginning of debate on economic issues may have seemed more in command. However as debate rolled on McCain scored points and was clearly putting Obama on defense. McCain also seemed to have plenty of stamina and grit. His body language suggested he did not think Obama was a worthy opponent yet remained he respectful in his tone.
Obama is taller then McCain but is so skinny he seems like a youth.
I think the debate was a win for McCain.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
Good grief! The headline reads that Obama won but the article says it was a tie and that the poll was biased because it oversampled Democrats.
CNN: "We lie, a lot!"
huh???? how can they say or know this???
Such an accurate sampling (extreme sarcasm)
This looks like a replay of Nixon/Kennedy — McCain’s body language and appearance work against him.
Totally squed poll. If its not equal numbers, then its a popularity contest based solely on numbers in teh group, largest number wins right? LOL
More Dims tuned in because more Dims are uncertain of Obama, and afraid. Its the independents, THOSE are the only numbers that actually count.
41% Dems
27% GOP
This is so friggin' annoying. Why do they keep doing this? Are they trying to incite race riots on November 5 or something?
What I am beginning to worry is the GOP base. Are we going to get +92% GOP on Nov 4th?
The whole point of debates is that — try as they might — the Obama-worshiping media can’t prevent a KO blow... if McCain has the stones to do it.
He certainly has the material.
He just have to grow the stones to use it.
