"strong-armed banks into lending to credit-unworthy Democratic constituents. Now, with these borrowers defaulting on billions in mortgages"
but, this is a challenge to find one thing where Democrats are better on the Economy? Well, all the polls say so, but there's no evidence.
Here is the video that digs to the root of many of the problems...

Sadly, they don’t have to actually be better, but only “perceived” to be better. They are for the “working man”, you know? /s
There are two kinds of people. One kind wants the government to give them something or control something. That would be democrats. The other kind wants the government to just go away and leave them alone. That would be republicans. The problem is that in order to give something to the democrats the government has to take from the republicans.
Dems ruin economies. Just look at Michigan. However, unaffiliated voters go by perception, whether true or not. When things go bad (i.e natural disasters, bad economies, war), people blame the incumbent party. Since the stock market woes are happening under Bush, people naturally blame the GOP.
Thanks, some reality on the ‘Economy’ would be good, being the main stream media offers none
ones who want to work, and ones who are willing to wait for a government handout
I’m glad you posted this. I’ve noticed statements in the last few weeks that said the economy is a strong issue for Democrats. I honestly didn’t know that and have been confused by the statement. What have they done? Even when I was Democrat, I always thought the Republicans were stronger on the economy.
Right. The government has no money unless we let them take it. I think it may be time for a TAX REVOLT! All in favor say AYE!
Let us not forget that the environmentalist of the demoratic party ran our jobs overseas.
But somehow the Right is to blame.
I say EARTH FIRST! We will drill for oil on other planets later.
This utube video says it all, e mail it to everyone you know and suggest they e mail it to all they know, lets chain letter it. America needs to know who are the culprits and how deep this really goes. They are obstructionsists to criminal behavior are the democrates!

Yes great article but if the people don’t hear it or understand it quite frankly it doesn’t matter. The GOP does a poor job of explaining it.
Some elected Republicans are still dropping the ball when it comes to a fiscally conservative economic message, I admit to being more than a little frustrated with the illogical idea that Democrats are good for the economy, and the main stream media tries to hide the facts by using polling
The Democrats are perceived to be stronger on the economy because public schools do not teach economics, or if they do, they only teach checkbook economics (i.e. no theory). If they did, of course, it would be as skewed to the left as history. But at least the names of a few great men, like Smith and Friedman, would leak through.
Speaking of history, I defy anyone to find a textbook that doesn’t blame the Great Depression on “market excesses” and the gap between rich and poor. They don’t even attempt to explain business cycles from a Keynesian point of view; they say something along the lines of, “Big business made too much, and the masses couldn’t afford it.” (On second thought, that’s pretty much Keynes’ theory.) I also defy anyone to find a textbook that points out that FDR’s New Deal was basically an extension of Hoover’s program. (After FDR had campaigned repudiating the Hoover administration and promising balanced budgets!). And how many of them demonstrate that the economy, slowly rising from the trough in ‘32-’33, actually got worse in ‘37-’38 (not as bad as ‘32-’33, but pretty damn bad?
How can Republicans possibly compete with all that? Most of them believe it themselves.

“There are two kinds of people. One kind wants the government to give them something or control something. That would be democrats. The other kind wants the government to just go away and leave them alone. That would be republicans.”
Actually that isn’t true. There are three kinds of people. Conservatives, Liberals and Moderates. Democrat and Republican are just labels which lost their meaning in 1980.
That is why you have a Zell Miller on one side and a Chuck Hagel on the other.
Back in the 80s, I wrote a college term paper arguing that FDR’s economic policies actually prolonged the depression, Of course, it wasn’t until WWII that we finally got out of it though a war economy. It was well researched and footnoted. Grade=D. The prof was in love with FDR. So, even if one understands economics and/or history, the student who challenges the Left will be slammed. In many ways, the war has been lost. The Left dominates the media, entertainment, education and, to some extent, the corporate community. There isn’t much left.
The coming $2 trillion Democratic tax increase is making that decision for them...
AYE!
You are exactly right! The Feds may ‘ask’ for more money by raising our taxes, but it is up to us to ‘allow’ them access. (I haven’t had a vacation from my small business in 7 years! Raise my taxes and that would be my ‘incentive’ to take a looonnnggg one! )
