McCain may be getting up there in yrs.. but we have a rising Star attached to the ticket: Sarah Palin... I have no doubt she is our Iron Lady.
What do you mean, he’s back? Before Palin, Obama was in the driver’s seat. Since the convention, Obama hasn’t been ahead of the margin of error for very long. The general election has been pretty damn close thus far.
In my opinion, debates don’t amount to much. If Kennedy’s historic trouncing of Nixon was so damn important, why was 1960 the closest election in American history (with tyhe exception of the Jefferson/Adams debacle)? The banking crisis is the only real opportunity for either of them to break ahead, unless something drastic happens (i.e. peace in Iraq or a terrorist attack).
I had hope that McCain would pick up on Obamas comment and tear him another new one.
Did anyone else notice Obamas remark?

Frankly, McCain did the right thing. Just let that comment sit there, and let the viewer think about that.
Historically, the candidate who's most positive about America wins. People heard that line, and seen his "bracelet" moment, and--well, those things stick in your head.

Simon also (on his blog) nailed 0bama over the “Kissinger agrees with me on Iran” gaffe.

Big Mac big night. I knew he won and schooled bambi good, but in retrospect (articles coming out) Obama looked like he really is not ready compared to McCain. Obambi never looked like he was to me, but in the papers he sounds his age and experience and maybe that will sink in for a few fence sitters that watched sports instead.

Great points!

but in the papers=but in the articles coming out this early AM . . .
The author of this article is Roger Simon, a liberal MSM guy. Roger L. Simon is the moderate/conservative blogger.

D’OH!
My bad, and all that. This is what happens when I try to post when I should have been sleeping hours ago.
Obama’s tired old game of trying to make McCain a clone of Bush would only be believed by those with half a brain. Anybody who knows anything about McCain’s political record knows he’s a real maverick. This has to be contrasted with Obama’s record of not only NEVER reaching across the aisle but being the most narrowly partisan liberal in the Senate (according to National Journal) and robotically following a leftist agenda which is even to the left of the other liberals in the Senate. He’s projecting his own political pathology onto McCain.
Which is why his obvious regard for RWR is so touching. I liked that quote.
BTW, if you need any proof that McCain won:
Lanny Davis: "Bottom line: no game changer here."
McCain was a house afire. I was pissed in 2000 that W messed him up and out of the race.
McCain needs to reinform the masses how much bad blood existed between him and Bush eight years ago.
One other thing about McCain: he is too modest about his accomplishments. He’s got the goods to be a great prez.
And the energy. Young wife, young life.
