We will see the spin tomorrow, but I was struck by the “John was right” about 8 times and the “I have a bracelet too” which he didn't have...

Well, not according to Frank Luntz’ focus group on Foxnews. What a bunch of idiots! This country is in deep doodoo if these people are voting.

John McCain exceeded my expectations and narrowly did better than Barack Obama in the first presidential debate Friday night.

John McCain is not known as a good debater (he's better ad-libbing), so even though this was supposed to be his "turf", some thought he might struggle against Obama, especially since he's been spending the last few days in DC.

Of course the Left is going to say he lost, and the right will say he won. What will the middle say???

Krauthammer said it was a ‘draw’ but BHO is the winner.

You have to be a dem in order to make that comment. I’m sure Will, Nooner, et. al. feel the same.

Frank Luntz’s undecided focus group was more “moved” by Obama. One of his new supporter actually said he didn’t stutter.

McCain did well, better than I thought. He could have spanked Obama on the financial issue, pointing out it is the democrats fault, but overall he was good. Obama stuttered and sputtered, failed to directly answer a few questions, and failed to acknowledge he was wrong about the surge. Overall, in terms of what really counts (grabbing independents), McCain did better.

“I have a bracelet too” which he didn’t have”

He fumbled the NAME, for crying out loud.

(Oh yeah, he fumbles alot of names, especially college team names.)

Well, the group split, and it was younger and there were alot of females in the that group.

They thought 1. McCain did not have enough passion (?) 2. Obama seemed to care about people like me.

That is a farce of course.

Sarah Palin has a heck of alot riding on her performance this Thursday.

Obama was stammering all over the place.

I do have to say, even though I thought that McCain won, Obambi did his “uhhh” thing a LOT less than I expected. He’s been well trained.

I think the key to their comments was “he cares about us” and McCain was “antagonistic”.

Bobo was tense and played defense. I thought McCain went beyond debating and was educating Bobo how the world works. McCain's military heritage really came out.

I'd pick Bobo to play on my basketball team but I'd want Mr. McC. as my team's coach.

Krauthammer said it was a ‘draw’ but BHO is the winner.

What he was saying was that foreign affairs was not Obama's strong suit but he held his own and therefore won.

I wouldn’t vote for a guy that has to check his Hero Bracelet to see the name on it when he talks about it, like Obama did.

What an idiot.

I never agreed with Luntz’s groups back when Bush ran.
