Who do you think won the first Presidential Debate?
(Excerpt) Read more at activitypit.ning.com ...
agree, that plays to the far left, but certainly not to middle america. (socialist globalist mumbo jumbo)
“he was talking to the moderator... jim lehrer”
OK.
But then, why did Obama correct himself while responding to Jim Lehrer by looking at McCain and saying “Uh,John...”?
I think he was just nervous.
guess i’ll go thread hopping for a while. everyone has left me alone. :(
I was a real estate broker from 1967 to the early 1990’s, and believe me, we qualified out buying clients immediately. Their mortgage payments PITI could not exceed l/4 of their monthly net income. The mortgage banks were not in business to loose business in those days.
By the way, I like your tag line.
John McCain 84% (681 votes)
Undecided 1% (11 votes)
Total Votes: 806
“The Obominaiton is a nervous wreck. Hes always looking DOWN as he stumbles for something to say. Most people KNOW that hes lying. Its TYPICAL LYING body language.”
You’re right. I thought it was interesting, too, that Obamajuana kept agreeing with McCain. “John is right...”, or “As John said...”, etc.
In addition, when McCain nailed him on the issue of the Russian invasion of Georgia, Obama began to change the subject, bringing up all kinds of issues that have nothing to do with topic, such as energy and climate change.
RE brokers, if I recall rightly, weren't covered by CRA -- certainly not originally (1977).
Obama blew it.
Very uncool for Obama.
I was right about the internal poll in Virginia, it came directrly from the Drake campaign. I am right about the debate tonight. I a going to campaign all day tomorrow for McCain. Are you?
what are you talking about?
Barack Obama 20% (215 votes)
John McCain 79% (875 votes)
Undecided 1% (12 votes)
Total Votes: 1102
My bad
“mccain is messing up achmedinijobs name... oh no...”
It’s OK to mess up an enemy’s name (especially since it’s not easy to pronounce anyway). Lot’s of people mess up his name; some on purpose (such as Mark Levin), and some by accident. Some, like John Batchelor, give it such an odd pronunciation, I can’t tell if it was messed up or not.
McCain had no problem pronouncing an ally’s name, however, and one which also is not so simple to pronounce: Saakashvili, president of Georgia.
Maybe your screen is upside down.
Too much junk on that screen- didn’t see it..gave up.
McCain was definitely confident and firm. Obama looked angry, then would give fake smiles, he interupted McCain frequently (especially when McCain was speaking the truth about Obama’s record) Talk about McCain’s anger...I saw alot of anger coming from Obama. The guy was steaming. I know McCain did not take the time to always defend himself against Obama’s mischaracterizations of McCain but I think that was the right move. McCain would have appeared always on the defensive. Instead Obama was on the defensive or having to agree with McCain. lol
I say McCain was brilliant and the “lies” of Obama will definitely come back to haunt him on U-tube!
If Obama needed undecided voters to feel comfortable with him as President, he did not do it. Instead McCain showed he had his facts straight and his brain was alot sharper than Obamas!
Thank you, Senator McCain!
Obama looked cheap caling him John and Senator McCain looked respectful referring to the skinny twerp as Senator Obama.
When you have a Lloyd Bentsen moment, your opponent persistently chides you as being naive and acting like a child, your opponent keeps on pointing out his foreign and domestic experience while you have none to show, when you have no record of bipartisanship to show, when your best chance is at mimicking your opponent’s positions, when you do the same boilerplate Lefty stuff, when your only criticism on your opponent’s Russian plan is to do the usual “The last 8 years” klaptrap, when you constantly talk about the past while your opponent wants to focus a little bit more on the present, When you constantly act like the kid in High School who has to go the bathroom really bad, When you interrupt even if your opponent hasn’t finished a sentence, when you have the exact same anecdote about a bracelet, the same bracelet that McCain talked about in the past, when your opponent brings in his big points of the past to the front, and when you try your best at being on the defensive....
Than it makes me wonder if you have actually won a debate.
I was lucky enough to be about an 1/8 of a mile away from the debate building here at Ole Miss. I had a score of Obama supporters around me as I watched the debate on the jumbotrons in the Grove, and was sure to shout loudly whenever McCain delivered a nice jab.
Before tonight, I was a McCain skeptic, now I am a McCain supporter.
which debate were you watching mccain handed osama barack hussien bin laden obambi his lunch
