President George W. Bush makes remarks on the U.S. Ocean Action Plan at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History September 26, 2008 in Washington, DC.
President Bush: My favorite exhibit was the 24-foot giant squid. The squid was brought all the way from Spain as a joint operation between the Navy and the Air Force -- (laughter) -- appropriately called "Operation Calamari." (Laughter.) I do want to thank our military for bringing the deal here, it is -- (laughter) -- it's worth looking at it. (Laughter.) Admiral, I don't know if you had anything to do with it, but it's -- if you did, it must have been a heck of an operation. (Laughter.)

W doesnt look like a happy camper In all the years and all the pictures of our man of 1000 faces president, I don't think I've ever seen pictures like that of him before. They are almost a cross between anger and fear. Bless his heart, it just pains me to see him in this much distress.

Prayer Request for MamaB
She writes:
"Will you pass this along to the dose thread? I just talked with my granddaughter. Her husband just found out he has a blood clot in his knee. He went to Birmingham to see my dr. down there and he ordered a lot of tests to be done here and the results sent to him. He is 26 today. Let me tell you, I can not take any more bad news from this family. I am up to my head in stress. Thanks."
Prayers sent for your granddaughter's husband, for his family and for you, MB.

Prime Minister Brown: America and Britain have always stood together as one in times of difficulty and challenge. And I said to President Bush this afternoon that facing this global turbulence, Britain supports the financial plan. White House Press Secretary Dana Perino speaks during the daily briefing at the White House September 26, 2008 in Washington, DC.
Q Whatever Congress comes up with as a final package, if they pass it, will the President basically sign it?Dana Perino:
We don't know all the details and all the discussions that are ongoing, because we are not negotiating in the press. So I don't know exactly how Republicans are framing this and putting forward their considerations. I know that Minority Leader Boehner has just sent a letter to Speaker Pelosi that outlines some of their concerns and asks for consideration. We will be considering those issues, too. And that's what we're doing up there right now.
