That is exactly what I was thinking. Obama looses 1/5 of his base tonight and 1/8 of his base in each subsequent presidential debate. God willing.
My gut feeling is that if McCain simply holds serve it’s all moot because I don’t think bambi can overcome the Hillary/Bill undermining.
And given that this is about national security I think McCain is safe. The first one sets the tone too.
McCain needs to knock bambi off stride like explaining making phone calls and playing with his blackberry just won’t get the job done when Russia invades the next counrty or sends half it’s navy to hugo chavez.
As long as he stays away from saying he doesn’t ever talk about being a prisoner of war and then follows up with details about his war captivity I think it’s really his debate to lose.
