I noticed Obama effectively made the case for McCain to be elected President by mentioning at several points in the debate that he agreed with him! I'm surprised and that hasn't been picked by the MSM talking heads! He said in effect, the other guy can do a better job! McCain doesn't need to make the point. All he has do is run a commercial with Obama saying, "I agree with John." And who are the American people supposed to think different? I think he blew the case he could have made for himself tonight.

Dick Morris is right that McCain BLEW the first third of the debate but McCAIN TROUNCED BO in the final hour. Not even close.
McCain may have nor wanted to poison the compromise underway and take credit for it by Monday.

You know what I think about Dick Morris. If that guy says the answer is day, then its probably really night. You are right about Morris. He is wrong so often, if he predicts something that I desperately want to happen I immediately feel jinxed. When he says something I agree with I have to rethink my position.

It surprised me to that he didnt attack Obama on blaming Bush for the last 8 years, and that he didnt point out how many bills he has introduced over the last 16 or so years to try to stop the crisis from occurring in the first place.
Yes, about the sub prime lending mess, McCain should have said a lot more about how Obama was part of the problem and how he, McCain tried to stop the problem from getting worse. McCain let Obama off the hook on the number one issue of the day.
Too bad, because McCain beat Obama on every other question.

that a scientific poll???
highly doubt that.

I'm going to predict Mac pulls even again in the polls in a few days or even goes ahead slightly. Just my beer-gut feeling, but I think he connected more w/America tonight. One thing he did was mention Reagan at least 4 times. Very clever - Obama wants to tie him with the unpopular Bush and Mac appeals directly to all those Regan Democrat/moderates.
Mac won and it wasn't close. The polls will show that by Wednesday.

Good stuff, and those will resonate. I must have missed Barry winning on style - I was too busy watching him gets his arse handed to him by Obi-Wan.

Then you didn’t get the whole picture and your comments on Obamas winning on style should not be taken very seriously. Obama came across as a petulant child visually and as a struggling student on foreign policy verbally.

I understand what you are saying as my brain works this way as well. (I say this as I noticed long ago not everyone can see things like this and fully understand why they are so powerful--this sort of bait and switch attack).
However. Although Fox is more conservative than all of the networks it is still a for profit media organization. It has been going further left this year on global warming. This election I have the sense at times some of the conservatives are blind to Obama's nastiness and inexperience and are wrong in several ways in their analysis (Krauthammer). Also an ignorant Fox news economic woman today was practically yelling at Marsha that she didn't know why the conservative Republicans didn't just vote for the bail out. "Uh," I was yelling at the tv, "This is America, not Russia. That's why we discuss and debate socialist, Marxist policies before we sign them!" LOL. Either way the woman was ignorant about why the bail out was such a big, big deal.
