BTW, on the blog ClimateAudit, Steve McIntyre put up a post on the “US financial crisis”. He really wanted to focus attention on the problem of making decisions in a crisis situation, with limited amount of information available. However, in his blog post he described Chris Dodd in relatively favourable words.

Now more than 120 responses later the whole story of Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac has been repeated over and over again, and the Democrats have been fried over slowly burning coal.

Yes, I guess most of the AGW sceptics are conservatives, but the fact that so many appears to be “au fait” with the true history of this financial crisis is really heartening.

Charlie Gasparino on CNBC ripped Dodd and Frank a new one today after Reid’s press conference in which the Dems tried to pin the blame for this mess on the Republicans. Charlie was uncharacteristically livid and the rest of the crew tried to shut him down. CNBC and especially Charlie have high credibility on the Street. They do a pretty good job of keeping an arms-length from partisan politics to keep that credibility, but Charlie broke out today and was marvelous.
