By doing the debate tonight without a deal like he said, gives the impression that McCain’s word is no good. And the media is running with it right now.
I have seen 3 reports with that angle in the last hour.
Big mistake!!!

“By doing the debate tonight without a deal like he said, gives the impression that McCain’s word is no good.”

IF the “deal” was to be accomplished by himself it would be done by McCain but the power and control is in the dems hands...and if America didn’t understand this before tonight..I have a feeling McCain will make that loud and clear tonight. Whatever happens in a “deal” the Dems will be responsible for the outcome. As for how we got here McCain has to be foreceful on explaining the events that led to this mess and how HE tried to stop it. Obama will go after McCain and how we always wants deregulation but McCain HAS GOT to explain, in layman terms, how the DEMS raped our house market and caused this disaster...and lined their pockets from it. Turn the light and shine it tonight. It isn’t by accident that a deal is to be at 12m...the Dems are daring McCain to say too much or they could hold back a deal...but, by McCain smacking back with the reality of who got us in this and how he worked to stop the slide...and the dems that made money from this....and EARMARKS...can turn all of this argument to McCains favor. He an do it....

Sorry, nice try. McCain is going to explain to the American people, over the media's heads, that the Bush/Pelosi/Reid/Obama/Paulson plan is unworkable, will ultimately cost trillions and is destined to fail the taxpayers miserably. He'll carefully explain that he supports the House Repubs’ plan which is more market oriented, keeps government out of the free market, will not straddle taxpayers with an unfathomable amount of debt and has tougher oversight. He'll clearly tie Obama to Bush/Reid/Pelosi/Paulson and ask the question “Now who is for real change and who is for the status quo i.e. more of Bush and more of the same?” If McCain clearly articulates this he wins and his trip to DC will be justified and vindicated. If he does not clearly articulate this he will lose. One other point, I think the last 36 hours have guaranteed one of the largest audiences in presidential debate history.

...no way! Not a mistake! He’s showing that he CAN chew gum and walk at the same time. This debate will be the most viewed in history. It’s exactly what McCain needs right now to make some points about BO’s lack of everything! The “Bullet” will help steer this in the right direction for McCain. He’ll look Presidential, while BO will look like a little boy that lost his Mommy in the mall.
