I hope not. If this can come through for the Marines, hopefully this will prevent other imbeciles that work for the government from spewing their vile and not having to pay for it.

I've heard, and I'm hoping it's true, that such 'immunity' applies when statemtents are made as part of official duties and while in the hallowed halls of Congress. Sometimes that applies to the premises, but not to places like Murtha's offices in his home district. It was from there that Murtha made many of his statements to the news outlets, and it's there that he may be vulnerable.
