Mississippi University spent some $6 million on this debate with planning going back two years. No way was McCain gonna skip it. With the topic being foreign policy, Mac has the upper hand and should do well -— after a short Q&A on the credit crisis.
This is exactly what McCain wanted. Displaying his maverick style of leadership. Smart decision by McCain.

(With Palin on the ticket, McCain Earned My Vote --- MOST conservatives should be satisfied.)

I would like McCain to tell Bananaramma to put up or shut about the mess we’re in and tell the folks what really is happening in DC. (Acorn and all that other pork.)

Also, McCain also has now personally witnessed barry getting ruffled and shouting if reports of their meeting at the White House are to be believed. Now he knows some of barry's buttons. Maybe he can get barry flustered enough to do something rash by punching those buttons at the debate.

Why does it even cost 6 billion dollars to set up the debate?
