Read it--not good enough. McCain was so serious about this crisis that he suspended his presidential campaign and flew to DC. If he backed the house republicans he should publicly come before the cameras like Senator Shelby and state his opinion to the American public. You and I know why he hasn't publicly backed Shelby's position--he backs the President's position.
He wants to keep Obama off-balance and not let the RATS know what his position is. Especially prior to tonight!
My sense is that McCain’s position will end up mid-way between Bush and Shelby.
McCain will not agree to a deal w/o the support of the House GOP caucus, or he’s cooked.
