Yes, I’m sure McCain has practiced. Foreign Policy debate isn’t exactly something McCain needs to worry about.
McCain actually said he was suspending his campaign and delaying the debate: “until we have taken action to address this crisis”.
I believe that was accomplished.
I may not like McCain's position on a lot of issues, but he has more courage in his little finger than you have in your... well, that's not fair, I guess since his little finger is still probably bigger.
Actually the correct figure is 4.5 MILLION. The amount keeps growing.

I was surprised when I read the headline that McCain was going to do this. But upon reflection, I think either choice he made would have been just fine. This way, he can address the issue of age that Obama keeps alluding to. He will address it by flying circles around Obama.
What did you hear McCain say?

Uhm...he did that.
He could start but indicating the pause given by the House Republicans “and myself, frankly” has to do with the way folks like ACORN will benefit from the Dodd-Frank proposal. Then turn inquiringly to Mr. Obama and ask, “As a community organizer familiar with ACORN, how do these groups function, how did they assist those not eligible for traditional loans to qualify for the sub-primes (that are responsible for the current mess we’re in) and how he and the Democrats believe funneling more money into these groups will a) help stabilize the situation, rather than make it worse, b) display fairness to the average American tax-payer (who will not recoup a dime because of this provision in the bill) and c) how it will not lead to further malfeasance on the part of those doing business with such groups?

Well, either it was a stupid move or it wasn't. On that basis alone, half of the people on here would be right, and therefore knew what they were talking about, even if only in the "a broken clock is right twice a day" sort of way....
Well, I ‘m glad McCain decided to go. These debates are the most important few hours of presidential campaigns, with audiences of the most viewed debates ranging from 60 - 80 million:

And the McCain/Obama debates are expected to be some of the most watched ever.
But I’m not buying that every move McCain has made is some brilliant strategy. More likely playing it by ear from hour to hour the past couple of days. And going on with the debate probably means that no deal is expected for a few more days.
Tonight is when McCain really needs to advance his campaign.
There would never have been an Obama / Palin debate. Two reasons:
1) It would be inappropriate. Obama is running for president and Palin is a VP candidate on McCain’s presidential ticket.
2) I think Obama knows that she could outshine him. He avoids those potential events.

His polls numbers did go up a tad, so it has not hurt him, regardless of the MSM spin.
As long as keeps on point tonight and gives short to the point answers, he will smoke this lawyer/candidate.
Lets face it, Foreign policy is Obama’s weakest point, McCain should be able to run rings round him. He could very well smoke him tomight, why else would Obama have 4 days cramming, if he thinks he’s in deep crap for this first debate.

And La Raza was also to be cut in on the same profits (assuming there will be profits) from the deal as ACORN.
