Obama would have had to get an absolutely HUGE day yesterday. Of course, early on the news was all reporting the Obama talking point that John McCain is trying to bring down the financial system.

I find this highly dubious. There is another angle no one is talking about. McCain is running an anti-media campaign. Conservatives are more irate at the media establishment now than they have ever been. Hang-up rates for conservative Republicans on these polls simply must be outpacing liberal Democrats by a huge margin making the polls unreliable.

Well, just looking for trends, this one is going the opposite way of all of the others, so I’d be more inclined to see this poll as an outlier anyway.

Plus, we know that Ras has gone insane with his weighting. His state polls are out of whack with everyone else too.

The initial reaction over this economic summit stuff and McCain possibly skipping the debate was decidely pro-Obama. Most of the average voters who don’t go to FR or other blogs didn’t see an OODA loop or any complicated strategery on McCain’s part, they just kneejerk react to Obama wanting to debate and McCain not. McCain may have even expected that and is hoping the endgame to this situation turns things around.

I think the problem here is that Obama had a huge (outlier) day on Tuesday. That day drops off tomorrow. I'm confident that Tuesday was an outlier because every other tracking poll (as well as other polls) are moving in the other direction over the same period.
