O'Reilly's knowledge matches his background. He was a reporter for CBS (I believe) not an analyst. A few years ago he had a guest on, and they were discussing Joe McCarthy. O'Reilly knew little more about McCarthy than what he had heard from liberal sources judging by his comments. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of his guest who had to correct Bill on multiple points about the history of that situation. So I would guess Bill's knowledge of economics is about as great as his knowledge of history. Which is not good.
Last night, on the one hand, he railed against speculators that were driving up the price of oil, but he was also afraid that investors would pull their money out of U.S. markets and put it into places like Singapore instead. Never mind that investors and speculators are the same people.
I swear, the man has the intellect that God gave a sack of gravel.
