At today's cabinet meeting, John McCain did not attack any proposal or endorse any plan. John McCain simply urged that for any proposal to enjoy the confidence of the American people, stressing that all sides would have to cooperate and build a bipartisan consensus for a solution that protects taxpayers. Did he need to suspend his campaign to do that?

I'd say so...the dems could evidently care less about protecting us taxpayers...they're too interested in seeing how much pork they can get into the bailout and what's in it for them...

He didn’t really “suspend his campaign”; he just moved it to his turf. The whole world is watching McCain and the Republicans are working hand in hand with him to make him look like a hero. Meanwhile, Obama and his camp are in shock and out of their element, after rehearsing three days for the debate that may or may not happen.
