.....pipeline goes through this area, BUT.....

.....not enough and too small capacity terminals (tank depots) around Western NC.....

.....that's trickling down to Upstate SC (everybody up there coming down here to buy gas).....

.....Tanker delivery guys make more $ to deliver closer to terminals.....

.....just minor shortages because of Ike that are being magnified by panic....:(

This doesn't explain the shortage in the Charlotte area. The Paw Creek terminals are located in Charlotte right on the Colonial piptline.
