We have been asking that question for many days now. We are told the pipeline is running at only 85%, but that is normal in the off peak seasons.

didn’t something like this happen in charlotte during katrina?
vaguely recall charlotte is at the terminus of refineries/pipelines from texas, and that those major lines and refineries were closed before and after ivan.
i definitely recall that shortages were predicted for the region (but not for weeks, more like a few days).
