Great stuff. Thank you!
This comment was taken completely out of context. I feel sorry for Laura. I hope that Republicans will someday figure out the the “national media” is their enemy. The “media” is nothing but a bunch of Marxist Obamanoids.
nice....but the MSM doesn’t care.
Actually, the lie seems to begin with CNN. Laura Bush did NOT say that Sarah Palin lacks experience. But the subtitle or bottom ticker on CNN says that she lacks foreign policy experience.
That’s not Laura Bush. That’s CNN misinterpreting what she said—in fact, lying about it.
They do stupid things like this and then laugh and snicker about it, snorking snot into their hands and smearing it across their chests.
Oh, yes, we know these people.
Gad!
oh big surprise!
Time to start emailing again.
It would be great to have FR's official spokesdude put these two on the spot.
The AP put it to paper, anonymously, then spread the manure around to its minions in the MSM.
I think McCain/Palin has.
Can someone post the text of what LB actually said? (Cant watch youtube here.) Thanks.
nice find...
She should have said she has as much foreign policy experience as Obama. That is the winning argument that is not being made by the republicans. What do we need to do, send out a f@@@ing memo to everyone to tell them what the winnning talking point is? The press is trying to get someone to admit that she lacks the experience, so it is not like she should not have been ready for the question.
On the original thread, more than a few FReepers bought into the lie calling both Laura and the President (for good measure) stupid. Most of those doing the bashing were newbies (and maybe trolls) but some have been around here for a few years. Its as if the newbies started it and the older members jumped in later. Some of those falling for it have been around for a few years. nuvista finally got the quote right and now its on YouTube.
The newbies are for the most part plants from DU or Kos and like to stir things up and start flame wars. Remember that keeping Obama out of power is our final goal and bypass them or, if they get too obnoxious, hit abuse.
"I spoke to you a while back, and you said at the time that Condoleeza Rice, the Secretary of State, [Laura Bush interjects, laughing: "was my choice"], was your choice (Laura Bush interjects: "for the female", laughs) for the female ticket, the vice presidential (Laura Bush interjects: "or presidential, sure") nominee or, exactly, or on the presidential ticket. Sarah Palin has now emerged as the choice." (Laura Bush: "That's right!") "Do you have as much confidence in her as you did then, in Secretary Rice?"
Laura Bush:
"I have a lot of confidence in Sarah Palin."
"She's got a lot of really good common sense. And I think that's very important. She also has executive experience from being a governor and a mayor."
"And I'm thrilled to have the chance to vote for Sarah Palin on the Republican ticket."
(Zain Verjee laughs): "Do you think she has the kind of foreign policy experience that everyone's criticizing her... [trails off]"
[Laura Bush talks over Zain Verjee] "Well, obviously, of course she doesn't have that - she had - you know - that's not been her role. But I think she's a very quick study. And, fortunately, John McCain does have that sort of experience."
The first I heard of this was from some skank, Sara somebody, on a Yahoo link. I read the piece it it was nothing but a Commie lib thrashing of Sara Palin. Not journalism. These are just a bunch of “columnists” regurgitating DNC talking points. They all said the same exact thing.
It's pretty clear Laura was talking about Condi compared to Sarah.
Thanks!
