I know what you mean, I used to work the Swing shift when stationed in Germany. I really enjoyed being able to go to town during the late morning before heading to work.
OTOH, not being able to get to sleep until 2 or 3 in the morning really messed with my body-clock. It didn’t help that we rotated shifts - a few days, a few swings, a few mids, then a coupla days off and we got to do it all over again.
