I really think this is an enormous mistake. If McCain goes back it will portrayed as nothing other than a cheap political stunt. What is he going to do, bipartisan this thing to death?! This is why McCain is such a loser!

McCain needs to hammer home this "Financial Crisis" is the sole fault of the democrats and Obama!

Really? The Democrats say they need GOP votes to avert a crisis but when McCain offers to help the country, they turn him down. They talk a good game my friend but they don't walk their talk!

It would be well for Freepers to remember McCain's motto ...

COUNTRY FIRST!

McCain is doing the right thing.

“McCain needs to hammer home....”

Whatever that means.

If the press wont report it, you can hammer stuff home until you break the nail, it isnt going to matter.

You either go bold or go home.

That is leadership.

The entire “leadership” of the democrat party has defaulted on making a decision and left it to the Republicans and BY NAME, to John McCain

However is McCain supposed to MAKE this decision on behalf of his party and the American people, while in a state of constant travel and bookings.....if not back in Washington DC becoming rapidly and fully informed on all the issues and able to interact with the Cabinet, President, and all the advisors?

This is a 9-11 for our economic system. If you really think a staged political debate on foreign policy supersedes this responsibility, then you don't need many good reasons to just go ahead and vote for Zerobama

I suppose if Zerobama was faced with a national crisis of epic proportion, he could just “multitask”- spend 3 days googling up a response and text message it back to Congress
