May I ask you what is more prime time than two of the three network evening news anchors in no pre-condition interviews?
“Another thing is that when Couric was interviewing McCain today she put in Palin’s mouth the risk of a Great Depression. But in fact in the interview it was Couric who had suggested that and Palin did not say yes but indicated it was a crisis situation. So Couric misrepresented that it was Palin who made the remark and caused McCain to stumble a bit suggesting to him ‘whether it was appropriate for Palin’ or something to that effect to suggest we are heading to a Great Depression if something is not done. Complete misrepresentation.”
I was totally flabbergasted when I heard Couric’s question and Governor Palin’s response. It was not just a misrepresentation, it was an outright lie. Governor Palin said the exact opposite. From the transcript:
Couric: If this doesn’t pass, do you think there’s a risk of another Great Depression?
Palin: Unfortunately, that is the road that America may find itself on. Not necessarily this, as it’s been proposed, has to pass or we’re going to find ourselves in another Great Depression. But, there has got to be action - bipartisan effort - Congress not pointing fingers at one another but finding the solution to this, taking action, and being serious about the reforms on Wall Street that are needed.
Katie’s face was so contortecd during interview. I bet Sarah thought ....girl, you need work! Interview was made to make Paln look uninformed.

Don’t move, just follow their example. They will put their money back in the market in a couple of years; there will be bargain prices all over the place.
She was just being herself.

McCain needs to quit with the handling and let her be her.
That is what is wrong with Washington, once you get there you check your personality at the door. And sometimes your brain.

I tried to check McCains legislative record myself on the ACU website, I couldn’t make heads or tails of all the votes he participated in to save my life! Other than the fact that Jon Kyl was a much stronger conservative!

Sarah Palin was a little distracted by her responsibilities serving as Alaska's governor.
Palin doesn't have to know McCain's legislative record. What she needs to know is McCain's philosophy and character.
Well, the Obama campaign demanded that Obama’s interview with O’Reilly not be edited. Palin should demand no editing!

Yeah, Perky screwed up her mouth as though she just sucked 5 lemons and appeared to be gritting her teeth - since I never watch her, maybe that’s her look of gravitas.
They purposely ended the excerpt with the worst possible line, Sarah telling K she’ll get back to her on that.
