Voting with the majority (the bailout will pass above any and all objections) does not look too brave. No one knows for sure how he is going to vote yet. But Drudge just put up on his website that a meeting this AM among House Republicans showed only 4 of them intended to vote for the bailout. Considering Bush will be lucky to get half the Democrats, passage looks more and more doubtful by the minute.
Also, McCain supports several changes to this proposal that the Bush administration is very much against. Among other things, he wants language effectively capping pay at $500K for any executive of a firm that takes advantage of the bailout. Paulson will be lucky to be able to buy up $200 bil. of this stuff under those terms.

Someone connected to the debate in Mississippi was just on FOX and she was not a happy camper.
Said everything would continue forward.....she sounded really po'd.
Guess she would rather put the debate first....over country :^

I know you're in the biz and well, high finance goes right over my pretty little head, so do you think that Mac's plan will be good if it's not in accord with W's or will it make us (and voters) scream? Thanks much.
