I STILL wish someone else was the Republicrat nominee, but I HAVE to hand it to him - Mr. McCain KNOWS how to run a campaign.

Completely concur. Given the difficult political environment and how well McCain is executing therein, I am also starting to wonder if we were all wrong in 2000 in choosing Bush over McCain.

For example, it appears that McCain wouldn't be stupid enough to leave a DUI out there for the final weekend for the Gore folks to exploit which, not only nearly cost Bush the presidency, but led to a 50-50 Senate disaster as well.

The real reason that the MSM is furious with McCain: they didn't realize that he wants to be President. They expected him to roll over like Dole.

Per Yahoo.com, here is the title of the AP article on this development:

"McCain seeks to delay debate to focus on economy "

“We” weren’t all wrong. The globalists and neocons gave Bush a war chest the likes of which had not been seen up until those days. Now, with benefit of hindsight, I don’t like either of them all that well, but he is the best horse we’ve got, and since the Sarah pick, I’m actually starting to admire ol Mac a little bit again.

For the record, the reason I liked him before was because he was pushing CFR, and when he got it through and I saw what it did to free speech, I soured. But I’m sweetening again, Jerry, I’m sweetening.
