Congressional Republicans line up behind McCain call

While congressional Democrats, including Harry Reid, urge McCain to not return to Washington, the GOP nominee's colleagues line up behind the move.

I am sure that Bush will add a sense of urgency and focus to getting a package out sooner rather than later. If the economy goes into the dumper, Obama will waltz into office ala FDR. And that means even more federal control over the economy and our lives. I do find it amusing that people are all excited about the taxpayer having to bear the burden of a $700 billion bailout while our annual budget deficit for 2008 will be $500 billion and we currently have a $60 trillion unfunded liability in the form of SS and Medicare.
